Race Day 2021
Thanks for considering running The Lane Group Creeper Crawler. Below is some information about race day.
Registration: Registration is open and required for all participants
Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up will be held on:

Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wye Park near the Creeper Trail Head in Abingdon, Virginia.

Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Wye Park near the Creeper Trail Head in Abingdon, Virginia.

Your race packet will include your race T-shirt and bib/pins.
Restroom Facilities: Portable toilets will be available at the race start/finish line, Watauga area, and Drowning Ford area. We will provide hand sanitizer outside the portable toilets.
Race Start: The marathon begins at 8 a.m. Half-marathon begins at 8:30 a.m. Start and finish at the Wye Park/VA Creeper Trail Head in Abingdon, VA.
Timing: We will be hand timing this race. We ask that all runners have their bibs on display as they cross the turn around and the finish line. If your bib is not visible, your time might not be recorded.
Racecourse: We will have course marshals at most trail intersections and road crossings. Mile markers will be posted along the course. The Creeper Trail is a rails to trails course. The race surface is gravel. Runners are advised that the racecourse remains open to bike, horse, and pedestrians during the event.
Aid Stations: We will have aid stations located at Watauga Road, the ½ Marathon turnaround, Alvarado and Drowning Ford (Marathon Turnaround)
Time Limit: We have not set a firm course time limit for the race. We do encourage all runners to be finished by 2:00 p.m.
Weather Outlook: We will post more information about the weather forecast closer to the race date. We will have the race rain or shine.
Awards: Awards will be presented to the top three men and top three women overall. We will have age group awards for the top three men and top three women in the following categories: Under 25, 25-35, 36-45, 46-55 over 55.
Finisher Medals will be awarded.
Awards: Half Marathon: 11:30 a.m., Marathon: 1 p.m., Trail Head
Spectators/Parking: Parking is limited at the trail head. You are encouraged to arrive early. Additional Parking will be available at the Abingdon Farmers Market, Remsburg Drive and Cummings St, Abingdon, VA 24210. After parking, you will have a short walk on the trail to the start/finish location.
